Use the many online tools available to you – such as Feedly, Flipboard, and Google Alerts – to curate relevant content you know your tribe will appreciate. If there is content out there about your brand that you did not create yourself then that’s a major bonus you should make use of as much as possible.
Share relevant articles and videos on your social media channels. Use tools like Buffer, Hootsuite or another similar social media tool to publish your content at the times your audience is most likely to see it.
Curated content is powerful because it enables you to discuss important points of the content directly with your tribe while positioning your brand and your thoughts into a larger audience within your industry.

Never post an entire article written by someone else on your website. If you post the entire original article that someone has already published, your SEO is going to suffer dramatically. Instead, write about your thoughts and point of view, post a small snippet of the article under discussion, and then link to the original source. Many experts consider this to be a best practice for effective content curation. It’s alright to use a couple of sentences or one short paragraph of the original article and then create a link back to the original article.
Re-Share Original Content
Content marketing is a resource intensive task that demands new and interesting material on an almost daily basis. It’s no longer enough to have a regularly updated blog as the social media channels are also hungry and need to be fed with alarming regularity.
To get the most out of your efforts, you need to think of new and creative ways to re-purpose your content to maximize it’s ROI. Social media feeds are dynamic and move quickly so whenever you post you will only get a very small portion of your followers seeing it at any one time.
Tools like Hootsuite and Buffer are excellent business assets as they return analytical data on all of your shares so you can see what content is getting the most engagement. It’s then a simple matter to re-share the content that proves most popular, so more of your followers get to see it.
It’s much easier to fill out or update an older post then it is to create a new one from scratch.
The topic, if it’s still relevant and useful, even if it’s months old, will still be appreciated on your channels by your newer followers who may have missed it the first time around.

There are so many social media and sharing platforms around these days that most people are members of more than one (and many are on three or four).
If you want to achieve maximum exposure your business also needs to have a presence on multiple channels. Some research into your market will be necessary to know where your target market/audience spends most of their time online.

Pinterest is an entirely different beast altogether as it is all about visuals, and the same could be said for Instagram. People on LinkedIn consume business information, industry trends and topics, as well as business tips.
The point is what works well on one won’t necessarily work for another. Your graphics and tone need to be tailored so they fit in with the vibe of the social media channel.
RePurpose Your Old Content into Something New
This is just another form of re-using old content; just with a little more work. A blog post could be turned into a slideshow or a Facebook Live video, a slideshow could be transformed into a great video for YouTube.
Any of these forms can be taken apart and put back together as a bunch of memes to be trickled out over a week or so.
