This started as a Facebook post but quickly grew to more text than usual for a social media update. My intent is to inform and hopefully educate so my community will not fail prey to this type of phishing attempt.
Most of us know it’s critical to regularly back up data that is on our personal computers. If you don’t know how important this is and if you are not keeping your pc data backed up; you are setting yourself up to learn a hard lesson. Think of all of the valuable information, data, and images you are at risk to lose if your hard drive crashes.
Just as backing up your data on your computer is important, backing up your WordPress website or blog to safeguard your content is essential. Yes, it’s another task to work into your busy schedule. But think about the time and energy you’ve invested in building your site or blog. I’m sure losing your content will result in some level of anxiety for you. It would for anyone.
If you haven’t already done so, you should decide (NOW) what your back up plan will be. Do it TODAY!
